I was trying to move forward in life. I had everything I could wish for….but deep down I knew I wasn’t happy
It was a strange feeling…like my heart was trying to tell me something but my logical mind was telling me that everything was fine- that I had a wonderful family, a great social life… so what else could I ask for? But I soon realized that I was holding on to a lot of self-limiting beliefs. Those beliefs took a toll on my self-esteem and made me quite irritable and angry.
I had to challenge those beliefs
Have you felt that your self-belief system has been holding you back? That your own narrative in life is stopping you from achieving what you actually deserve? If it is, then let’s get introduced.
Hi, my name is Megha Mathur and I am a Resilience and Narrative Coach specializing in helping individuals to move past their blocks into a realm of personal and professional happiness.
To create that resiliency within you, you have to first acknowledge that you are your own saboteur. You have to change your narrative of blaming others to embracing your own self- the unique you that is you and creating that sense of balance within you.
Once, you acknowledge your belief system, you will not only see yourself changing your narrative in life BUT you will also take control of it leading you to enjoy the successes you actually deserve in life.
My belief system had made me strive for perfection
When you strive for perfection in life, you change how you talk to yourself. Everything is looked at with a magnifying glass.
Living with that mindset takes a toll on your mental health because you are always trying to do better than the last time. Mistakes are looked upon as failures.
Does this all sound familiar?
If it does, then did you experience extreme stress, irritability, anger, sadness, moodiness? Do you gravitate towards other things such as food or alcohol to satisfy that emotional pain that you are going through?
I will be honest and tell you that I gravitated towards food- it gave me comfort. I knew I was going down the rabbit-hole and I needed to stop myself. So, I reached out to a coach myself.
We sat down and talked.
I realized that my narrative in life had become “YOU NEED MORE TO BE HAPPY” except I did not define my “more” I wanted to succeed professionally but did not define what “success” looked like.
With the help of my coach, I changed my narrative to “I NEED TO BE PRESENT IN THE MOMENT TO ENJOY LIFE AND ITS SUCCESSES. I HAVE TO LEARN TO DEFINE MY SUCCESS; I DONOT NEED TO BE PERFECT.
From that moment on, I learned how important it is to change your narrative and remove your blocks from life. So, here I am sharing what I learned with you.
I was helped by a coach and if this is something you have noticed in your life.
THEN I AM HERE TO HELP YOU OVERCOME THOSE BLOCKS.
My Happy Clients!
My background in Counselling Psychology has allowed me to understand one thing: NO ONE PERSON IS THE SAME which means that everyone processes things differently and at a different pace. With my coaching sessions and packages, we take things at your pace and cover important ground with helping you navigate your thoughts and slowly change the narrative of your life.
I have recently become a health coach as well which means I understand the importance of food that many of you have (like me) and have seen a change on the scale. I know what that feels like. If this is something that has taken control of your life and your narrative, then click here (this will take them to the health coaching page) to understand what I have to offer and to see my journey so far.
You gave me the feeling of “feeling empowered” and taking charge of what I feel is necessary for me.
Together we can:
Instill you with the confidence and conviction to bring your idea into the world.
Create a clear vision of what you want to achieve.
Develop an actionable plan to get there.
Clear the blocks and discover the mindset and headspace that will allow you to enjoy it.
A few more things that you might find interesting about me…
I was bullied in school and know what that feels like and what it does to your mental health. I have also realized that people get bullied in their adult lives too. It made me realize that bullies sense the low self-confidence within you and attack you where it hurts the most. It takes a lot to admit that you were bullied as an adult and I am doing that right now with you because I want you to know that you are not alone if you are experiencing it.
Because I was bullied in school, it made me develop social anxiety and lock myself into a cocoon. I was afraid to speak and talk in front of others. One person changed my life- a teacher in 9th grade.
He knew I had social anxiety and he called me after class. He looked me straight in the eyes and said “you are worried about what the world will say or think about you, but look around you…the world and the people are so busy in their minds that they don’t have time to notice you” Something clicked that day…and I slowly started to come out of my shell.
I am now running a YouTube channel and have had several speaking engagements. Do I still have that fear of feeling judged- ABSOLUTELY…I am after all human BUT I don’t let it get to me. I love what I do and that is what keeps me going.
Travel has taught me a huge amount, about myself and about the world in which we live in. I continue to be richer because of my travel experiences. When I’m not working you can find me on a plane, planning to get on a plane and seeing the wonders of the world.
I am a creator and curator of experiences both professionally and personally. I believe that to truly transform you need to have the experience and that is why my coaching and workshops all have experiences at their heart.
